Fatal Accident on Macharam Flyover

A tragic accident occurred on Friday at the Macharam flyover in Mahabubnagar district, resulting in the deaths of four individuals and injuries to approximately ten others. The local police responded swiftly to the scene, ensuring that the injured were transported to a nearby medical facility for urgent care.


According to the Sub Inspector from the Jadcherla police station, the incident took place around 4:45 AM when a travel bus collided head-on with a loaded lorry. Three victims died at the scene, while one succumbed to injuries later at the hospital. A case has been filed, and the bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem examinations, with the injured receiving necessary treatment.


The police confirmed that the bodies of the deceased were later returned to their families after the post-mortem. The injured passengers were promptly taken to a local hospital for further medical attention.


Investigations into the accident are ongoing, with additional details expected to emerge. This incident follows another tragic event on June 11, where three people lost their lives in a collision between a car and a bus in the Rangareddy district of Telangana. In that case, three others were also injured, and the police reported that the collision occurred near Mall village, close to the borders of Nalgonda and Ranga Reddy districts.
