OneCard has recently issued a big alert to its customers. In this, people have been cautioned with a new fraud named Whatsapp Screen Mirroring Fraud. Many people have fallen victim to this fraud because most do not know about it. If you get caught in this trap, then your bank account can be empty, your personal information can be stolen.
According to OneCard, in this scam, fraudster fraudulently starts screen sharing on WhatsApp. As soon as the screen sharing is on, the thugs see all the sensitive information like your OTPS, bank details, passwords and messages.
Sometimes the scammer installs the Malware app named Keyboard Logger in your phone. It records every typing of yours. For this reason, many banks give websites on-screen keyboard so that the logger does not get your typing. In this way, your bank password, social media password can be stolen.
When the thug gets all your information, he withdraws money from the bank account, does unauthorized transactions and can also do another fraud using identity.
