President Asif Ali Zardari has approved civil awards for 263 Pakistani and foreign personalities. The decision was made on the government’s recommendation to honor individuals for their outstanding services in different fields.
According to official information, the awards will be presented on March 23, 2026. A grand ceremony will be held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad.
The recipients have been selected from a wide range of fields. These include arts, literature, sports, education, science, medicine, journalism, and social services. Many prominent names from fine arts and culture are also among the awardees.
In the field of arts, Actor and Director Irfan Khoosat, Singer Hadiqua Kiani, Samina Peerzada, Fazela Qaiser Nizamani, Sawra Abbas (Sawra Abbas (Sawra Nadeem), Humaira Arshad, Saira Naseem, SALEDA HASHMI, SALEDA HASHMI, AFTAB, Irfan ahsan will receive the sitara-i-imtiaz.
Muhammad azam Khan, Zulqarnain Haider, Sultan Javid Jamal, Noor Muhammad Baloch (Noorul), Rajab Ali, Mukhtar Naz, Taj Mastani, Khawaja Ali Kazim (PosthuMous), Jamshed Alii Khan, and Sheikh Muhammad Sadiq (SM SADIQ) Have Been Chosen for the Pride of Performance Award.
Allah Dina (A.D. Baloch), Imranullah Hunzai, and Qazi Shujaat Qadri will be honored with the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz for acting, visual arts, and naat recitation.
In literature, Irfan-ul-Haq Siddiqui, Ata-ul-Haq Qasmi, and Mustansar Hussain Tarar will receive the highest civil honor Nishan-i-Imtiaz for their contribution to poetry and writing. Poet Asghar Nadeem Syed and Zehra Nigah will be decorated with the Hilal-i-Imtiaz.
Several writers and poets will be honored with the Sitara-i-Imtiaz. These include Murtaza Barlas (Murtaza Baig Barlas), Yasmeen Hameed, Naseer Ahmed Nasir, Qarar Hussain (posthumous), Abdul Rauf Rafiqi, Razaullah Shah Arif Naushahi, and Syed Masood Hassan Shahab Dehlvi (posthumous). They are being recognized for poetry, criticism, and research.
The Pride of Performance Award will be given to Aminullah Dawoodzai, Akhtar Usman, and Tajammal Kaleem (posthumous). The Tamgha-i-Imtiaz will go to Ahmed Khan Tariq (posthumous), Moin Nizami, Nasir Abbas Nayyar, Muhammad Ameen Zia, and Sarwat Mohyuddin for their literary achievements.
In the field of sports, Shahid Afridi, mountaineer Shehroze Kashif, and Malik Muhammad Ata (posthumous) will receive the Hilal-i-Imtiaz. Their services in cricket, mountaineering, and equestrian sports are being recognized. Sana Mir and Haider Ali will receive the Sitara-i-Imtiaz for cricket and discus throw.
Muhammad Sajjad (known as Gujar) and Shahzaib Rind will be given the Pride of Performance Award for kabaddi and karate combat. The Tamgha-i-Imtiaz will go to Muhammad Hamza Khan, Mohsin Nawaz, and Rashid Malik for squash, shooting, and tennis.
In journalism, senior journalist Ehtisham-ul-Haq will receive the Hilal-i-Imtiaz. Zia-ul-Haq Sarhadi and Sarmad Ali will be honored with the Sitara-i-Imtiaz.
