Tricolor festival: Independence Day in your plate

On this Independence Day, celebrate something more than flags and fireworks – bring the color of the teeth to your dining table. Chef Rupa Nabar makes the dishes made of fresh and nutritious materials equally beautiful and delicious, respecting the saffron, white and green of our national flag.

1. Tricolor casserole

A festive, colorful rice dish, which is as delicious to see, is equally delicious to eat.

System:

(Orange rice)

♦ 1 cup cooked basmati rice

(white rice)

(Green rice)


Method:

1. For orange rice: Heat the ghee, add cumin, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, carrot puree, red chili paste, salt and rice. Mix and keep separate.

2. For white rice: Add salt and pepper to rice.

3. For green rice: Heat ghee, add green chili paste, garam masala, spinach puree, salt and rice. Mix and keep separate.

4. Lay a layer of green rice under a circular mold, then white rice, then orange rice. Press each layer lightly.

5. Remove the mold and serve.

2. Vegetable Balls in Tomato Sauce

A delicious baked dish made of colorful layers and rich mixtures of sauce.

System:

Method:

1. Mix boiled potatoes, vegetables, peas, cashews, raisins, garam masala, salt, green chillies, green coriander and cornflour.

2. Make shells, immerse it in cornflour solution, wrap in breadcrings and air fry.

3. Prepare tomato sauce by cooking tomato puree with salt, sugar, red chili powder, ketchup and cream.

4. Cook the butter, maida and milk till it becomes smooth and make white sauce.

5. In a baking dish, apply layers of mashed pea puree, vegetable balls, white sauce, cheese and tomato sauce.

Bake for 5-6 minutes at 180 ° C and serve hot with garlic bread.

3. Orange Kiwi Custard

A cold dessert rich in fruits of fruits, which is perfect for your food to end in a sweet style.

Material:

Method:

1. dissolve jelly powder in 3 cups of boiling water and keep it aside.

2. Dissolve the custard powder in 1 cup cold milk, keep stirring to avoid lumps.

3. Boil the remaining milk with sugar in the Prestige Dura Stone PAN, add dissolved custard powder and stir until it thickens. Keep it aside.

4. In 8 small glasses, place the slices of the kiwi below, add the custard and keep it in the fridge for 15 minutes.

5. Put orange jelly over the custard and keep it in the fridge for 30 minutes.

6. Serve cold.
