The weather in Bihar is going to deteriorate again. An alert has been issued for heavy rain and thunderstorms in half of Bihar on August 19. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in 20 districts.
During this time, warnings of lightning along with heavy rains have also been issued. In such a situation, people have been appealed to be cautious.
According to the Meteorological Department, a warning has been issued for East Champaran, West Champaran, Gopalganj, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Muzaffarpur, Madhubani, Darbhanga, Supaul, Kishanganj, Araria, Purnia, Katihar, Kaimur, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Gaya, Nawada, Jamui and Banka. Monsoon is going to be active again gradually from tomorrow.
In fact, orange and yellow alerts have been issued in entire Bihar on 20 and 21 August. The Meteorological Department has predicted intermittent rains in North Bihar for the next few days. It is expected from this forecast that people will get more relief from the heat in the coming days and the crops of the farmers will be better.
According to the IMD forecast, the monsoon trough is likely to be south of its normal position in Bihar and a cyclonic circulation may develop over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining areas, which will likely bring more moisture. Due to this, the chances of rain have increased.
Talking about Sunday, a change in the weather was seen in many districts of Bihar including Patna after noon. According to the Meteorological Department report, rain was recorded in 16 districts including Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur, Purnia, Muzaffarpur and Supaul on Sunday. Due to the rain, there was some relief from the heat, but people had to face problems due to waterlogging at many places.
