In late 80s and 90s Govinda made his Bollywood debut and later transformed into one of the most prominent movie stars of Hindi cinema. Throughout 90s he churned out several box office hits including Aankhen Coolie No. 1 Hero No. 1 Dulhe Raja Haseena Maan Jayegi & Sajan Chale Sasural among others. However the actor had turned out major projects that went on to become legendary in Indian cinema. One of them was the musical romantic drama Taal released in 1999. Helmed by Subhash Ghai the film starred Aishwarya Rai Akshaye Khanna and Anil Kapoor in lead roles while Amrish Puri and Alok Nath in supporting roles.
