Popular actor Syed Jibran, known for his powerful performances in dramas like Neem and Chup rahorecently shared a chilling memory that left both the audience and his fans in shock. During his appearance on the comedy show Hasna Mana HaiJibran opened up about a life-threatening incident that occurred while filming at the infamous Adiala Jail.
The actor recalled that he was shooting a scene where his character was to be hanged. Dressed in full costume with a black hood over his head, Jibran stood on the hanging platform as part of the scene. Everything seemed under control until the director declared the shot unusable because the lever controlling the trapdoor got stuck.
The crew decided to reset the shot. The director instructed Jibran to step down from the platform so they could shoot the lever pull separately. As fate would have it, the moment Jibran stepped off, the lever was accidentally pulled and the trapdoor dropped open — just seconds after he had moved away.
“If I had still been on that platform, I wouldn’t be here today,” Jibran said, visibly emotional while recounting the incident. The entire crew went silent, stunned by the close call. The director immediately urged Jibran to give sadqa (charity), recognizing that he had narrowly escaped what could have been a fatal accident.
This revelation served as a reminder of the real-life risks actors sometimes face behind the scenes. While audiences only see the final, polished product, it’s moments like these that highlight the unseen challenges of the profession.
Jibran’s story struck a chord with fans, who flooded social media with prayers and support, thankful that the actor made it out safely.
