The entire village is in mourning due to the death of 5 teenagers by drowning together in Khanguradih-Bandhpura of Katra police station area of Muzaffarpur. The deceased were identified as Mohammad Anas (15 years), Mohammad Hidayatullah (14 years), Mohammad Hamza Ali (12 years), Mohammad Rahman (12 years) and Abbu Talim (12 years).
