Online gaming bill
On Tuesday, the Union Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved an important bill related to online gaming and betting. Through this gaming bill, online betting will be declared a punishable offense. After the arrival of this bill, strict legal action can be taken by online betting or wrongly using gaming apps. There will be a provision to ban online games through this new bill.
This bill can be introduced in Parliament tomorrow i.e. on Wednesday. First of all it will be brought to the Lok Sabha. This bill has been brought in recent months due to many cases of betting and cheating through online games. Many youth have lost their money due to these apps. Some apps implicate people by showing fake reward and greed.
Many film stars and social media influencers have also been seen promoting these apps. Government and investigative agencies are now monitoring celebrities and social media influencers who promote these apps. Through this bill, big and necessary steps are being taken to stop online gaming and betting.
