Krishna chhathi 2025: The tradition of offering kadhi-rice on Lord Krishna’s sixth has a special significance. Kadhi-rice is considered to be the favorite food of Lord Krishna and it is custom to offer his child nature.Six days after Shri Krishna Janmashtami, the devotees of Kanha celebrate their sixth festival with great enthusiasm. This year, the sixth of Shri Krishna will be celebrated on 21 August. On this day many traditional and tasty dishes are made for the offerings of Shri Krishna. But on this day, Lord Krishna is specially offered to Kadhi-rice. Let us tell you the recipe of Kadhi without onion-garlic.

Kadhi making materials

1 cup curd

1/2 cup gram flour

1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 teaspoon coriander powder

1/4 teaspoon cumin powder

A pinch of asafoetida

Salt taste

2 cups of water

To add tempering

2 tablespoons oil

1/2 teaspoon cumin

A pinch of asafoetida

2-3 dried red chili

7 kadhi leaves

For pakoras

1/2 cup gram flour

1/4 teaspoon celery

Salt taste

Water required

How to make curry

To make a curry on the sixth, first you should prepare a thick batter by mixing celery, salt and some water in gram flour. After this, make small dumplings from this batter and fry it in hot oil till it becomes golden. Now prepare a thick solution by adding curd, gram flour, turmeric, coriander, cumin, asafetida, salt and water slowly in a vessel. Now cook this solution on the gas on medium flame continuously, until it cooks and thick. After this, heat oil in a pan to apply tempering in the curry, add cumin, asafetida, dry red chili and kadhi leaves and add tempering. After this, put the tempering in the curry. After this, put dumplings in Kadhi and turn off the gas. Kanha is ready to offer bhog. If you want, you can also garnish it with coriander leaves.
