BSSC CGL 4 Postponed: Bihar Staff Selection Commission has postponed the application process of the Fourth Graduate Level Combined Competitive Examination (BSSC CGL 4 2025) for the time being. The new date will be announced soon. The notice related to the postponement is available on the official website of the commission bssc.bihar.gov.in.
The notice issued by the commission states that due to the proposed amendment in the examination fee, the application process starting from 18 August 2025 has been postponed. The commission had issued a notice on August 4 that applications would be accepted for the CGL 4 recruitment examination from August 18 to September 19, 2025, but now it has been postponed, and the new date will be announced later. Through this examination, 5,208 posts were to be filled in various departments of the state. This includes graduate-level jobs. CM Nitish had announced a concession in the application fee.
It is worth noting that on the occasion of Independence Day, the Chief Minister of the state, Nitish Kumar, had announced that the examination fee of preliminary competitive examinations held for jobs in the state will be reduced to just Rs 100 and no examination fee will be charged in the main examination.
In his address on the occasion of Independence Day, Nitish Kumar said, "We have decided to charge only Rs 100 from the candidates appearing in the PT for competitive examinations for state level government jobs, whether it is Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC), Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC), Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC), Bihar Police Subordinate Service Commission (BPSSC) and Central Constable Selection Board (CCSB).
