Inequitable Opportunities in School Chess Tournaments

In the realm of chess, it is crucial that students have equal opportunities to participate in various school tournaments. However, it is disheartening to observe that students from CBSE schools are favored in competitions organized by these institutions.

Students from RBSE (Rajasthan Board) are often excluded from participating in these chess tournaments, while students from CBSE schools can easily compete in tournaments organized by RBSE.

This situation is evidently discriminatory and contradicts the principle of equality in sports.

Proposed Solutions for Fair Participation Our Beliefs:

1. Either both boards should limit their tournaments to their respective students only,

2. Or students from both boards should be allowed to participate equally in each other's tournaments.

Excluding thousands of talented chess players in Rajasthan based solely on their board affiliation undermines their potential and confidence.
