SGPGIMS has issued a notification for 220 faculty posts. The last date of application has been fixed as 8 September 2025. The pay scale will be from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2.20 lakh per month.

Lucknow's Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) is once again in the news. Announcing a big recruitment, this prestigious medical institute has issued an official notification for a total of 220 posts of Professor, Additional Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. How many posts will be recruited?

A total of 220 faculty posts will be filled under the recruitment drive. This includes the posts of Professor, Additional Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor. The institute has also clearly released the eligibility, salary and application process for these posts.

How much will the salary be?

In this recruitment of SGPGIMS, the candidates will be given a great salary as per the Seventh Pay Commission. Candidates selected for the post of Assistant Professor will get a salary of Rs 1,01,500 to Rs 1,67,400 every month. For Associate Professor, this salary will be from Rs 1,38,300 to Rs 2,09,200.

At the same time, Additional Professor will get a salary of Rs 1,48,200 to Rs 2,11,400. For the highest post i.e. Professor, the pay scale has been fixed from Rs 1,68,900 to Rs 2,20,400. This salary will be decided on the basis of experience and qualification of the candidates.

Educational Qualification

To apply for these posts, candidates must have the highest degree of medical education. The applicant must have an MD, MS or DM degree. Apart from this, candidates must also have work experience in the relevant field. Candidates will be selected on the basis of experience and educational background.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for recruitment has been fixed at 50 years. However, SC, ST, OBC, Divyang and EWS candidates will be given age relaxation as per government rules.

This much application fee will have to be paid

Candidates will have to deposit the application fee to complete the recruitment process. The application fee for the general category is Rs 2000. At the same time, OBC, SC, ST, EWS and Divyang candidates will have to pay only Rs 1000. The fee will be paid through Demand Draft (DD).
