In a pivotal initiative aimed at increasing job opportunities nationwide, the government led by Narendra Modi has introduced the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PMVBRY). This new scheme is designed to provide financial incentives to employers to encourage job creation.
The government will offer incentives of up to ₹15,000 for first-time employees, which corresponds to one month's Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) wage. This amount will be distributed in two parts. Employers interested in this scheme can register on the official PMVBRY portal to initiate the process. They can receive up to ₹3,000 monthly for each new job position they create.
First-Time EPF-Registered Employees
To qualify, an employee must have joined an establishment between August 1, 2025, and July 31, 2027, and must not have been a contributing member of the EPF prior to August 1, 2025. Additionally, their contributions must be recorded in the EPF for the first time for the wage month of August 2025 or later.
Monthly Salary Cap
The employee's monthly salary, including all benefits, should not exceed ₹1,00,000 as per their employment contract.
Employment Duration Requirement
Employees must maintain continuous employment for at least six months to qualify for the first incentive installment.
Note: The second installment will be deposited into a savings instrument to promote saving habits.
