Washington. White House press secretary Carolyn Levitt has reiterated US President Donald Trump’s claim of ceasefire between India and Pakistan. She said that Trump ended the India-Pakistan conflict by using trade as a powerful shield.

Press Secretary Caroline Levitt said in her media briefing on Tuesday, “He (Trump) used trade very powerfully to end the conflict between India and Pakistan. I know he is very proud of all these achievements and I know he is very proud to serve as the President of America and restore peace in the world.”

Levitt also said Trump was happy to help negotiate a peace deal with Azerbaijani and Armenian leaders at the White House.

‘Proud of peace agreements’
He said, ‘The President is proud of all the peace agreements he has achieved. A few weeks ago, the head of Azerbaijan and the President of Armenia were in the White House. Trump discussed ending the decades-old war with the leaders of Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo in the Oval Office and gave it great importance.’

Rubio is constantly giving information
Levitt further said that Foreign Minister Marco Rubio is constantly giving information to Trump about the conflicts going on around the world. At present, Trump’s entire focus is on ending the Russia-Ukraine war and the Israel-Gaza conflict.

Earlier on July 28, Trump had taken credit for brokering a peace deal between South East Asian countries and called it easier than the India-Pakistan conflict.

He said, ‘We do a lot of trade with Thailand and Cambodia, yet I am reading that they are killing each other. It is like a war. I think it will be easy for me, because I have resolved the war between India-Pakistan and Serbia-Kosovo.’

Trump has repeatedly taken credit for peacemaking during the India-Pakistan conflict in May, claiming he used trade to broker a ceasefire between the two nuclear-armed nations. However, India has consistently rejected Trump’s claims.

India rejected Trump’s claim.
According to Indian officials, during the war, Pakistan’s DGMO contacted the Indian counterpart and requested to stop the war. After this, a ceasefire was agreed between the two countries.

Let us tell you that the conflict between India and Pakistan started after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April, in which 26 civilians were killed. In response to this, India carried out precision attacks on terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POK) under Operation Sindoor.
