According to a report from The teamLille OSC are considering a move for Real Sociedad right-back Hamari Traoré (33), as they attempt to solve an increasingly complex situation in that position following Ousmane Touré’s (20) ACL rupture.

Lille had already been in the market for a right-back before Touré suffered an injury during the 3-3 draw with Stade Brestois. However, the injury has left Lille thin, with Tiago Santos returning from an ACL injury, Aïssa Mandi injured during the preseason friendly with West Ham, and Thomas Meunier reportedly ready to leave.

Traoré, who has extensive experience in Ligue 1, having captained Stade Rennais before leaving for The real, has become a target for Lille, particularly as a touted move to Paris FC looks to have stalled with the capital club’s minority owners, Red Bull, vetoing a transfer for the veteran defender.

The Mali international would provide Bruno Génésio with some much-needed reinforcements ahead of a season where they had hoped to go far in the UEFA Europa League.
