Jaswinder Bhalla, a beloved figure in Punjabi cinema, sadly passed away on August 22 at the age of 65. He was receiving treatment at Fortis Hospital when he took his last breath early in the morning. His final rites are scheduled for August 23 at 12 noon at the Balongi crematorium in Mohali.
With his exceptional comedic timing and unforgettable characters, Jaswinder Bhalla carved a niche in the hearts of many. He initially gained recognition through stage performances and comedy albums during the 1980s and 1990s before transitioning to films.
Bhalla was renowned for his comedic roles in Punjabi films, contributing significantly to the industry over nearly three decades. He made his acting debut in notable comedy films such as Dulha Bhatti and also appeared in Jaspal Bhatti's Hindi comedy Mahaul Theek Hai (1999).

Jaswinder Bhalla was married to Paramdeep, a fine arts educator in Chandigarh. Their son, Pukhraj Bhalla, has also pursued a career in acting. The father-son duo shared the screen in the 2013 film 'Stupid 7'.
