Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while addressing the booth worker conference in Tamil Nadu on Friday (August 22), launched a scathing attack on the opposition parties. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President J.P. Nadda, a prestigious Tamil leader C.P. Tamil Nadu has increased the pride by nominating Radhakrishnan for the post of Vice President.

Referring to the Pahalgam attack, Amit Shah said that Pakistan -sponsored terrorists killed innocent civilians. In response, India demolished Pakistan -based terrorist bases under ‘Operation Sindoor’, while three terrorists convicted of the Pahalgam attack were killed in ‘Operation Mahadev’. He said that Prime Minister Modi has assured the countrymen that terror and those who promote it will have to bear the consequences.

The Home Minister raised questions about the opposition’s opposition on the 130th Constitution Amendment Bill presented in the Lok Sabha. According to this bill, if a Chief Minister or Prime Minister goes to jail, he will have to leave the post. Shah said that two DMK ministers stayed in jail for eight months but did not resign from the post. “It is neither appropriate nor practical to rule from jail,” he said.

Shah described the DMK government as one of the most corrupt governments in the country. He alleged that the DMK is stuck in several scams, including TASMAC liquor scam, sand mining scam, corruption in the Transport Department and money in exchange for jobs. He said that the party stuck in such cases does not have the right to call for morality on any bill.

Amit Shah said that in 2024 Lok Sabha elections, NDA got 18% and AIADMK got 21% votes, ie a total of 39% vote share. He said that this partnership is not limited to politics only, but is a resolve for the development and progress of Tamil Nadu.

The Home Minister attacked directly, saying, “MK Stalin’s only agenda is to make his son the Chief Minister, while Sonia Gandhi’s goal is to make her son Prime Minister. But both of them will never fulfill the ambitions, as the NDA is moving towards a fierce victory.”
