Four men have been arrested on suspicion of rape after an alleged attack on a teenage girl. The youngster was reportedly drugged and raped in a park. Scotland Yard said she was being supported by specialist officers.

The force said it was called to Fishponds Park in Surbiton, south-west London, just before 7.15am on Thursday (August 21). A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and administering a substance with intent to commit and sexual offence, according to Scotland Yard.

Two other men, one aged 35 and another aged 36, were each arrested on suspicion of rape, sexual assault and administering a substance with intent to commit a sexual offence. A 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of rape.

A spokesperson from the Metropolitan Police said: "We understand this news is concerning for the community and we will be increasing patrols in the area."
