Royal Enfield has joined the trend of manufacturers releasing dark-themed versions of their bikes with the launch of the Shadow Ash variant for the Guerrilla 450. This new color option was revealed during the GRRR Nights X Underground event in Pune, in collaboration with Tapaswi Racing.

Although the Guerrilla model hasn't achieved the same sales success as some of its counterparts in the Royal Enfield lineup, it does offer a sportier aesthetic. For those seeking a neo-retro streetfighter that combines sporty elements with cruiser design, the Royal Enfield Guerrilla is a compelling option.

The Shadow Ash variant is based on the mid-tier Dash trim and is priced at ₹2.49 lakh, aligning with the cost of the standard color options. Bookings for this new color have already started, with deliveries set to commence on August 25 throughout India.

This new trim features a dual-tone fuel tank, showcasing a black front that transitions into an olive-green hue along the rest of the bike. The front mudguard is black, while the remaining bodywork is painted in olive green.

The color accents extend to the alloy wheels as well. Mechanically, the bike remains unchanged, powered by the same Sherpa 450 engine—a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC 4V engine that produces 40 bhp and 40 Nm of torque. It retains features like electronic throttle, a slipper clutch, and a 6-speed gearbox. The suspension setup includes 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends, a 160-section rear tire, dual-channel ABS, RSU telescopic front forks, and a rear monoshock. However, it may face challenges against competitors like the NS 400 from KTM and Husqvarna, as it is slightly underpowered while being priced similarly to flagship models.
