Royal Enfield is very well known for frequently introducing new updates to its motorcycle range. Recently, the Chennaibased bikemaker added a new Graphite Grey colour option to the Hunter 350. Now, the company has added a new colour scheme to the Guerrilla 450. Called Shadow Ash, this shade is said to be inspired by stealth and muscle.
Priced at Rs 2.49 lakh (exshowroom ,Chennai), the Shadow Ash colour scheme features an olive green tank with blacked out detailing enhancing the muscular appeal of this urban roadster. Part of the midspec Dash variant, the new dual tone colourway also comes with a Tripper Dash.
The latest colourway was unveiled at an actionpacked evening with Drag, Drift, and Rap performances in Pune that showcased Guerrilla’s versatility and power on demand to the enthusiasts in attendance. The highoctane drift stunt show displayed the motorcycle’s capabilities, while the clinic and tryouts offered riders an opportunity to enhance their riding skills on the motorcycle in a controlled environment.
Royal Enfield Guerrilla is powered by a 452cc, liquidcooled, singlecylinder engine that delivers 39.5 bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 40 Nm at 5,500rpm. It is paired with a sixspeed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch. The roadster comes with two ride modes Eco and Performance.
The engine serves as a stressed member within a steel tubular frame, which is supported by a 43mm telescopic fork up front and a preloadadjustable monoshock at the rear. The motorcycle rolls on 17inch alloy wheels, fitted with chunky tyres—a 120section unit at the front and a 160section at the rear, making the Guerrilla 450 the segment leader in rear tyre width.
For braking, it features a 310mm front disc with a dualpiston caliper and a 270mm rear disc paired with a singlepiston caliper. Dualchannel ABS comes as standard.
