Renault has launched the Kiger facelift in India at a starting price of Rs 6.30 lakh (exshowroom), making it the second most affordable sub4 metre SUV in its segment after its cousin— Nissan Magnite. This comes shortly after Renault introduced the Triber facelift almost a month ago.
This is the first update of significance that the Kiger has received ever since it made its debut in early 2021. The new Kiger has seen plenty of revisions over the outgoing model both on the outside as well as the inside. The crossover will be offered in four trims namely Authentic, Evolution, Techno, and Emotion.

The latest iteration of Renault Kiger has received plenty of exterior updates that give it a fresh appeal. For starters, the front fascia is completely redesigned featuring a sleeker grille with the new Renault logo at the centre flanked by a new split lighting setup that includes slim LED DRLs on top and triprojector headlamps housed within gloss black inserts. The front bumper is reprofiled thanks to a new octagonal air dam with black inserts flanked by a set of fog lamps.
It also gets an allnew hood that amplifiers its squaredoff stance. The side profile remains largely unchanged barring new 16inch diamond cut evasion alloy wheels. At the rear, the taillights are slightly revised with new LED internal. The rear bumper is reprofiled with a new skid plate design.
Further, the Turbo variants of Triber come with distinct side scuttles featuring “TURBO” inscriptionThe facelifted Triber is available in seven colour options including two new additions — Oasis Yellow and Shadow Grey — alongside existing options: Radiant Red, Caspian Blue, Ice Cool White, Moonlight Silver, and Stealth Black.
The interiors of Renault Kiger facelift have also witnessed significant changes over its predecessor. The refreshed cabin now offers ventilated light leatherette seats, a dualtone dashboard, and premium door trims for an upscale feel. Attention to detail is seen in the enhanced stitching on the gear knob, steering, and armrest.
Renault claims that comfort has been elevated with improved noise insulation across the hood, floor, and dash, ensuring a quieter drive. Cooling efficiency has also been upgraded, while practicality is enhanced with a standard rear centre armrest featuring cup holders and a versatile 60/40 split folding rear seat.
The new Kiger comes with a few additional features such as multiview camera, ventilated front seats, automatic LED headlamps, and rainsensing wipers. Another notable improvement is a new 6speaker audio system with 3D Arkamys surround sound. It continues with a 8inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and wireless charging pad.
It comes equipped with six airbags, including side and curtain units, ESP, a tyre pressure monitor and hill start assist as part of 21 standard safety features. ISOFIX child seat anchorage and 3point seatbelts for all seats ensure added protection, while the top variant includes a takeabreak reminder. Practical touches like the Belongings Take Away alert further boost everyday usability, making the cabin both secure and userfriendly.
Mechanically, the 2025 Renault Kiger remains unchanged with the same petrol engine options comprising a 1.0litre naturally aspirated unit and a 1.0litre turbocharged unit. The former produces 71 bhp and 96 Nm of peak torque. This power mill can be had with either a 5speed manual gearbox or a 5speed AMT. Renault claims a mileage of 19.83 kmpl (as per ARAI) for this powertrain.
On the other hand, the 1.0litre turbo petrol engine delivers 99 bhp and a peak torque of 152 Nm (MT) / 160 Nm (AT). Transmission options for this engine include a 5speed manual and a CVT automatic. Although Renault hasn’t revealed any performance metrics, the company claims a bestinsegment torquetoweight ratio, enabling swift acceleration.
