Aadhaar card address update: If you have recently shifted to a new house or new city, then one of the most important tasks for you is to update your Aadhaar card address. The Aadhaar card has become the basis of almost every government and private service today. In such a situation, if there is an old or wrong address in it, then there can be problems everywhere from banking, airport verification, e-commerce delivery to government schemes.
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) periodically advises that it is very important to keep Aadhaar information updated. Whether it is changing the address or improvement in biometric details, this process has been made very easy on the UIDAI portal. Especially updating the address can now be completed in a few minutes sitting at home online.
First go to the base self-update portal, MYADHAAR.UIDAI.GOV.IN
"My Aadhaar" Go to the section and click on Update Your Aadhaar.
Select the update Aadhaar Online option from here.
Enter your Aadhaar number and login from OTP on the registered mobile number.
Select the option to update the address.
Enter the new address correctly.
Scan the Aadhaar address proof (eg Aadhaar qualified document) and upload it in JPEG, PNG or PDF format (lower size than 2MB).
After submitting, you will get a service request number (SRN), so that the status of the update can be tracked.
UIDAI says that biometrics are not fully recorded in the base of children. Therefore, as soon as the child is 15 years old, he should essentially update his biometric.
Also, if a person’s biometric has changed due to a medical process, accident or other reason, then it is also necessary to go to the base center and update it.
Do not know the address or information can fail bank transactions.
Aadhaar-based verification may be troublesome at the time of airport check-in.
There may be a hindrance in getting the benefits of government schemes.
OTP or other verification may fail if wrong information.
The updated information keeps the government’s database safe and the chances of fraud are less.
