He said how to keep digital records and under which circumstances the digital record will be investigated. A detailed SOP will also be released regarding this. The new law has distance from old -fashioned vocabulary and complex interpretations. The new Act has been designed in such a simple language that even a common person can easily understand.

There are many such topics in the old law, whose provisions were scattered in many chapters (chapters). For example, provisions to the subject to trust and salary were scattered, they brought them to one place. Used the word of non -profit organization for the trust and brought them again in the same chapter. Words and sentences were quite simple used.

Table is more used in new law
The old law was quite wide in the written format but used the table in the new law. There were 18 tables in the old law, that number has increased to 57 in the new Act. Similarly, there were first formula six, which have increased to 46 in the new Act, so that people can easily understand the rules to income tax by looking at the table.

The first chapter decreased from 47 to 23. Similarly, words also decreased in law. There were 5.12 lakh words in the old act which came down to 2.67 lakh words. He said that 13 February Bill was introduced in Parliament. A special committee was formed on the same day, so that the rules and forms could be simplified and prepared in a new form.

Form is being made smart
All forms used in the Income Tax Department will be standardized. There is an effort behind this to provide business facilities facilities. TDC, TCS, forms to exemption and also have to fill a lot of forms during a year, they will all be standated.

At present, there are 200 forms inside the Income Tax Department, which are used in filling various claims and details, but from next year their number will be reduced to about 93. The board member said that the new Act will make it easier for salaried people and small entrepreneurs to understand and file returns.

There will be more changes according to the need
He said that according to the need for economic development, there have been changes in the Income Tax Act. The Income Tax Department works on the policy of trust first. Nearly two lakh returns in nine crore income tax returns are scrutiny. The rest we follow the trust, because the department implements the policy of the government’s trust.

He said that we have stopped giving exemption after the year 2014, but the slab was increased considerably due to it. Income tax rates were cut for companies. A new tax system was also introduced for the individual. There will be changes in future as well. Whatever provisions will come new will also come in simple language. It will be easy to understand them.
