Banks across several Indian states will remain closed this week (August 25–31 2025) due to various regional festivals. Customers are advised to check their local holiday schedules before planning in-branch transactions. Online banking UPI and ATMs will remain operational as usual. Bank Holidays (Aug 25–31 2025) August 25 (Monday): Guwahati (Assam) – Tirubhav Tithi of Srimanta Sankardeva August 27 (Wednesday): Ahmedabad (Gujarat) Belapur Mumbai Nagpur (Maharashtra) Bengaluru (Karnataka) Bhubaneswar (Odisha) Chennai (Tamil Nadu) Hyderabad (Telangana) Panaji (Goa) Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh) – Ganesh Chaturthi Samvatsari (Chaturthi Paksha) Varasiddhi Vinayaka Vrata Ganesh Puja Vinayakar Chathurthi August 28 (Thursday): Bhubaneswar (Odisha) Panaji (Goa) – Ganesh Chaturthi (Second Day) / Nuakhai August 31 (Sunday): All-India holiday – Weekly off  Stock Market Holiday On August 27 2025 both BSE and NSE will remain closed  due to Ganesh Chaturthi. Traders and investors are advised to plan transactions accordingly. What Will Be Operational During Bank Holidays Use Digital Banking: Internet banking mobile apps and UPI remain available 24x7. Cash Withdrawals: ATMs continue to operate for cash needs. Payments & Transfers: UPI and net banking can be used for seamless payments. While branch-based services pause during holidays digital banking ensures uninterrupted access to most financial transactions.
