Brixton Crossfire 500 XC sees massive price cut

Brixton Motorcycles entered India with a bang, launching multiple motorcycles at a much lower price compared to its competitors. Then, they went quiet, and now, the company has announced a price reduction of its 450cc offroad capable scrambler, the Crossfire 500 XC. Brixton has slashed Rs 27,499 from its exshowroom price, leaving the motorcycle with a price tag of Rs 4.92 lakh, exshowroom.

What is the Brixton Crossfire 500 XC?

For those who aren’t aware, the Brixton Crossfire 500 XC was launched in November 2024, alongside the Crossfire 500 X, Cromwell 1200, and Cromwell 1200 X. The 500 XC is a scrambler, but tuned more towards offroading. The Chineseowned British brand is retailed in India by MotoHaus, by a brand called KAW Group, based in Kolhapur.

With the reduction in price, the Brixton 500 XC inches closer to the Royal Enfield Himalayan and the KTM 390 Adventure in India. Amongst the competition, the Brixton 500 XC is the only twincylinder motorcycle, while the upcoming BMW F 450 GS will also be a competitor to the 500 XC. In our brief first ride review, we were pleasently surprised with the motorcycle.

Brixton Crossfire 500 XC: Features and equipment

The Brixton Crossfire 500 XC features fullyadjustable KYB USD forks, a monoshock at the rear, 1917 wirespoke wheels, a radiallymounted J.Juan front calliper, disc brakes at both ends, Bosch dualchannel ABS, and an inverted LCD instrument cluster. In terms of equipment, the Brixton Crossfire 500 XC ticks all the right boxes. The motorcycle even comes with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres from the factory.

The engine, too, sits in the upper part of the segment. The motorcycle is powered by a 486cc, liquidcooled, paralleltwin engine that makes 47.6 bhp and 43 Nm of peak torque with the help of a sixspeed gearbox. This is on par with the competition again, but the motorcycle misses out on a quickshifter and leansensitive electronic aids that the KTM has to offer for a lesser price.

The company had a goal of selling 10,000 motorcycles in the first year, but there is a long way to go before achieving the target. Dealerships are sparse compared to its competition, which makes accessibility a factor for many customers.
