Let us tell you today that if the Aadhaar card is lost and the number is also forgotten, then how can you get your Aadhaar number and e-Aadhaar card again by following some easy steps, that too without running anywhere.

How will you get your lost Aadhaar card?

If the mobile number is already linked to your Aadhaar, then you can easily find out your Aadhaar number online. For this, first go to the official website of UIDAI. Click on the Retrieve Lost UID or EID option on the homepage. Now you have to choose whether you want to get UID (Aadhaar number) or EID (enrollment number). Fill in your full name, registered mobile number and captcha code. Click on Send OTP. An OTP will come on your mobile, as soon as you enter the OTP, your Aadhaar number or EID will appear on the screen. After this, if you want, you can also download e-Aadhaar card from the same site.

You can also recover from mAadhaar app

If you use a smartphone, then UIDAI's mAadhaar app is also very useful. In this too you can retrieve the Aadhaar number. To recover from mAadhaar app, download mAadhaar app from Play Store or App Store. Login to the app and click on Retrieve UID or EID. Then fill in the name, mobile number, captcha code and click for OTP. As soon as you enter the OTP, the Aadhaar number or enrollment number will appear on the screen. You can also download e-Aadhaar from the app.

What to do if the mobile number is not linked?

If you have not linked your mobile number to Aadhaar or OTP is not coming, then the online method will not work. In this case, you will have to adopt the offline method. For which go to your nearest Aadhaar enrollment center or Aadhaar service center. There you will have to tell your name, date of birth, address etc. After this your biometric verification will be done. If all the information is found correct, then you will be immediately given a copy of the Aadhaar number and e-Aadhaar. If you want, you can also take a print of Aadhaar from there by paying Rs 30.
