In a shocking incident singer and former radio jockey Suchitra has accused her fiancé Chennai-based High Court lawyer Shunmugaraj of domestic abuse and financial exploitation. Taking to Instagram she made the allegations public and spoke about the matter in detail. In the video which has now gone viral Suchitra can be seen breaking down several times. She revealed that she had known Shunmugaraj for seven years and was almost about to get married to him. In the video Suchitra revealed that while she was at the lowest point in her life during the Suchi Leaks controversy Shunmugaraj offered a shoulder to lean on. “He walked into my life like a saviour she said alleging that he manipulated her and slowly distanced her from her friends. He also gained her trust and gradually started exploiting her emotionally and financially. But it did—I fell in love she said. “I was beaten several times. He kicked me with his boots like a WWF wrestler. I used to sit in a corner and cry asking him to stop. Suchitra revealed that she was eventually forced to leave her Chennai home which she alleges was taken over by Shunmugaraj. She later shifted to Mumbai where she has been working for the past few months. Although she had earlier hinted at personal struggles in now-deleted posts this is the first time she openly named her fiancé and shared detailed allegations of abuse. “He took away all my money. I sound so stupid saying this but it’s true. He used my house my resources and left me with nothing Suchitra said.
