GH News August 29, 2025 04:08 PM

The electric vehicle market in India has gained momentum, and legacy players are gradually expanding their offerings with additional models. The latest in the market is the TVS Orbiter, an electric scooter targeted at younger buyers, with a price tag of Rs 99,990 exshowroom. With the launch of the Orbiter, TVS’s EV offering now stands at 3 models and multiple variants.

However, the launch of the new Orbiter marks TVS’ entry into a segment lower, targeting the budgetconscious buyers and the youngsters. So here are the top three highlights of the new TVS Orbiter.

TVS Orbiter: Design

The new TVS Orbiter takes a minimalistic approach when it comes to design, keeping practicality in mind. The Orbiter features a minimal front design with a narrow front apron with the DRL running across the front, while the headlight is mounted on the handlebars.

The Orbiter gets a long seat, a flat floor board, square mirrors, integrated blinkers, and a small windscreen. All these little details set the vehicle apart from the iQube and the X, giving it its own identity. Also, the Orbiter is available in six colour choices: Neon Sunburst, Stratos Blue, Lunar Grey, Stellar Silver, Cosmic Titanium, and Martian Copper.

TVS Orbiter: Features and equipment

The Orbiter EV features a digital instrument cluster with phone connectivity. It gets navigation along with it, and features other essentials as well, such as cruise control, hill hold function, and reverse parking assist.

On the equipment front, the TVS Orbiter gets telescopic forks, dual shocks at the rear, drum brakes at both ends, LED lighting, a 14inch front wheel and a 12inch rear wheel. The scooter gets 34 litres of storage under the seat, which can carry two half helmets.

TVS Orbiter: Battery specifications

Unlike the TVS iQube, which is offered with various battery sizes, the TVS Orbiter gets just one choice — a 3.1kWh battery pack. TVS claims an IDC range of 158km on a full charge. Apart from these details, TVS has not revealed details about the scooter’s charging time, top speed, or acceleration figures.

If we have to take a guess, it could be similar to the iQube S variant; however, more details will be revealed soon. We will also be riding the Orbiter soon, so stay tuned for our review.
