Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy A17 5G in India, expanding its popular A-series lineup. Positioned in the mid-range segment, the smartphone combines AI features, a slim design, and long-term software support to attract value-focused buyers.
The Galaxy A17 5G comes equipped with core AI features such as Gemini Live and Circle to Searchpreviously seen in Samsung’s premium devices. It sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The device measures just 7.5mm in thickness and weighs 192g, making it one of the slimmest phones in its category. It also features an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.
On the rear, the A17 5G houses a 50MP primary camera with OISsupported by a 5MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro sensor. For selfies, users get a 13MP front camera. The device, however, does not support 4K video recording.
Powering the smartphone is the Exynos 1330 chipsetpaired with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB storage. It runs on One UI 7 based on Android 15 and comes with Samsung Knox Security. Samsung has committed to 6 years of OS updates and 6 years of security patchesensuring long-term usability.
The A17 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging supportoffering a balance of endurance and quick recharging.
