Kishanganj news: Investigation of voter identity documents and electoral rolls in Bihar is continuously under investigation. In this process, a case of a Nepali woman has come up, who has been living in India for the last eight years and is also voters here. The Election Registrar Office (ERO) has sent a notice to the woman to submit a residence certificate. The woman has made all the necessary documents like Aadhaar card and PAN card in India, but her family is worried due to lack of residence certificate.
The ERO has issued notices to about 3 lakh voters due to discrepancies in voter identity documents in Bihar. During the special intensive revision (SIR), the ERO has demanded a residence certificate from a woman resident of Pathamari, Nepal. The woman’s daughter, Muniya Devi, said that she was married in 2011 at Galgalia Kishanganj in Bihar. His father died in childhood.
Muniya Devi told that her mother had come to Bihar about eight years ago and built her home. They have Aadhaar cards, PAN cards and other documents, but do not have a residence certificate. Muniya said that he has recently received the ERO notice, asking his mother to show the residence certificate.
