The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) announced on Sunday that all government and private educational institutions in the Jammu Division will be closed until Monday, September 1, due to heavy rainfall and alerts from the IMD.
Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains shared on X that, following the directives of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, all government, aided, recognized, and private schools in Punjab will remain closed until September 3, 2025, due to the flood situation. He also advised parents and students to prioritize safety and adhere to administrative instructions.
In Uttarakhand, schools in several hilly districts may close on September 1 as heavy rains and landslides continue to pose risks. However, official confirmation is still pending.
Parts of Andhra Pradesh experiencing continuous heavy rainfall may see schools closed on September 1, although official confirmation is awaited.
