India has achieved great success by launching the first Made in India chip. The 32-bit microprocessor Vikram was introduced at the Semicon India 2025 conference. It was launched by Union Minister of Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnav. Ashwini Vaishnav said that this is a proud moment for any country.

Let us know that Vikram is India's first fully indigenous 32-bit microprocessor. It has been developed by ISRO's semiconductor lab. This processor can also work in bad weather and harsh conditions, so it is extremely beneficial for space and defense areas. The Union Minister informed that five semiconductor units are being built in the country, one of which has completed the pilot line and two others will start production soon. Ashwini Vaishnav also said that this is a major step towards self -sufficiency of India's semiconductor. He said that due to the foresight of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India started the semiconductor mission, and India's capacity and trust has increased globally in just three and a half years.
