Due to the rapid increase in the water level, the situation has become worrying and the administration has had to take many precautionary steps. Especially in the old Yamuna bridge and its surrounding areas, traffic has been stopped for security reasons.

Due to this, not only the movement of common people has been affected but its effect is also visible on rail services. So many trains cancelled due to rain

Due to continuous rain in Delhi NCR, the water level of Yamuna has reached dangerous levels. Due to this, traffic has been completely stopped on Old Delhi Yamuna Bridge No. 249. This has a direct impact on rail services. Keeping safety in mind, the Railways has affected many trains. According to the information, a total of 54 trains have been completely cancelled.

At the same time, the route of 43 trains has been changed. So that more passengers do not face trouble. Apart from this, 20 trains will be run from ahead instead of their starting station and 21 trains will be stopped before reaching their last station. Passengers are advised to check the status of their train before traveling.

Northern Railway cancelled so many trains

Rain has wreaked havoc in the country. The situation is bad from Delhi to Dehradun and from Manali to Shimla. This has also affected the railways. Northern Railway has decided to cancel 68 trains coming and going from Jammu and Katra stations till 30 September. However, there are preparations to run 24 of these trains again.

According to officials, rail services have been halted for the last eight days due to track breakage at many places in Pathankot-Jammu division. There has been continuous rain and flood situation in Jammu region since 26 August. This has badly affected road and rail services. It may take some more time for the situation to become normal.
