Lady Gaga has released her new hit The Dead Dance to tie in with Wednesday season two’s return for its second half.

After a month-long wait, Wednesday on Netflix is back and picking up shortly after Wednesday Addams (played by Jenna Ortega) was thrown out of Willow Hill’s window.

Thankfully, the gothic teenager survived the fall and in the penultimate episode, having fully recovered, was able to attend Nevermore Academy’s gala.

Back in season one, it was Wednesday whose dance to The Cramps’ Goo Goo Mucks went viral, contributing to the Netflix drama’s huge surge in popularity.

This time around though, actress Ortega wasn’t involved and it was actually Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers) and Agnes DeMille (Evie Templeton) in the spotlight.

The rivals-turned-friends take centre stage to perform an unusual routine to none other than Lady Gaga ’s The Dead Dance which has dropped today, Wednesday, 3rd September.

The newly released track is the third single from the Born This Way star’s Mayhem which came out back in March 2025.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, fans couldn’t contain their excitement at the Wednesday and Lady Gaga collaboration.

”Enid and Agnes dancing Dead Dance together, this is everything to me,” someone wrote.

A second praised: “Had to hit replay on Enid and Agnes’ dance scene that was absolutely beautiful”, as another agreed: “Gaga you snapped with Dead Dance OMG.”

While a fellow fan wrote: “The dance ahh it’s so good, I’m so happy Emma [Myers] got to dance, I love this, let’s go.”

Another user excitedly remarked: “The chemistry between Evie and Emma in the dance scene, chef kiss.”

As well as her song featuring in Wednesday, Lady Gaga herself also had a cameo role in the second half of season two.

She portrayed the ghostly figure of deceased teacher Rosaline Rotwood who helps Wednesday to temporarily gain back her powers in episode six.

Wednesday is available to watch on Netflix.
