Robotic pregnancy: Another major change in the world of science and technology can be revealed. Now that time is not far when human beings like humans will be able to conceive and give birth to children. Chinese scientists are working on a humanoid pregnancy robot in this direction, which will be able to raise the fetus with the help of artificial uterus. This research is a unique combination of reproductive technology and artificial intelligence, which indicates major changes in the future world.
The project is going on under the leadership of Dr. Zhang Qifeng of Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. An artificial uterus will be applied to the stomach of this humanoid robot. Special types of amniotic fluid will be added to it, which will give the fetus an atmosphere like human womb. Nutrition to the child will be given through a tube, just as the placenta works in the natural womb.
According to Dr. Zhang, this idea is not completely new. A few years ago, scientists successfully raised a premature lamb in an artificial womb called “biobag”. Current research is an attempt to carry forward the same technique to a robot like a human being.
According to reports, the first prototype of this pregnancy robot can be revealed by next year. Its estimated cost is said to be about 1 lakh yuan (about 12.96 lakh rupees). This discovery can play an important role not only in the technical field, but also in the solution of challenges to health and maternity.
However, this technology has also raised many social and moral questions. The biggest question is whether society will accept children born to robots? Will such children get legally human status? Keeping this in mind, talks have started with the government of Guangdong province of China, so that a legal structure can be prepared for this new technology.
Experts believe that if this experiment is successful, it can prove to be a milestone in the history of human reproduction and medical science. On the other hand, it can have a deep impact on future generations and society’s thinking.
