School Closed on 4 September: Continuous rain and flood-like conditions in North India have disrupted life. Keeping in mind the safety of the people, the administration has ordered to keep schools closed in many states today i.e., on 4 September 2025. All government and private schools will remain closed in many districts of Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana. Parents and students are appealed to contact their respective schools for correct information about the holiday.

School Holiday in UP: Schools closed tomorrow in four districts of UP

Meerut DM Dr. VK Singh has taken a big decision in view of the continuous rain in the district for three days. He has also declared a holiday on September 4 for all students from nursery to class 8 affiliated to the council, government-non-government aided schools, CBSE, ICSE, and Madrasa Board.

Due to heavy rains in Hapur, the administration has decided that schools of all boards from class nursery to 12th will remain closed in the district on September 4.

Flood-like conditions have arisen in the Mathura district. The water level of the Yamuna River is rising rapidly, and many areas have been waterlogged, due to which water has entered some schools as well. In view of the situation, the District Basic Education Officer (BSA) has declared a holiday in all schools up to class 12th on Wednesday and Thursday (September 3 and 4).

On the orders of the District Magistrate in Agra, the Education Department has directed all secondary and other board schools to remain closed on September 4, 2025. According to the order, in view of the safety of the students due to heavy rains and waterlogging, all council primary, upper primary, composite, government, non-government aided, recognized, unaided, CBSE, ICSE, and all board schools from pre-primary to class 12th will remain closed on Thursday (September 4).

Himachal Pradesh School Closed: Schools and colleges closed till September 7

In view of heavy rains and landslides in Himachal Pradesh, the state government has decided to keep all government and private schools, colleges, and diets closed till September 7. School Closed In Haryana: Educational institutions closed in Ambala, Kaithal, Rohtak, and Jhajjar

Orders have been given to close educational institutions in Ambala and Jhajjar in Haryana. This decision has been taken giving priority to safety. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in Haryana till September 5, due to which the administration has taken this decision.

Continuous heavy rains in Ambala have led to flood-like conditions. In view of this, the district administration has declared a holiday in all schools, colleges, and other educational institutions till September 4. At the same time, in view of the heavy rains in Jhajjar, the District Disaster Management Authority has issued orders to keep all government, private schools, and Anganwadi centers in the district closed till September 6 in view of the safety of the general public. This order will not apply to school staff members and they will remain on duty.

In view of the continuous heavy rains in Kaithal district and the rising water level of the Ghaggar River, District Deputy Commissioner Preeti has taken a big precautionary decision. She has issued orders to keep all government and private schools, colleges, ITI, Anganwadi centers, sports stadiums, and nurseries of Guhla subdivision closed on September 4. At the same time, in view of the severe weather conditions in Rohtak, the administration has decided to keep all government and private schools closed till further orders.

School Closed In Punjab: Holiday in Punjab till September 7
Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains posted on X and informed that in view of the flood situation in the state, all government/aided/recognized and private schools, colleges, universities, and polytechnics across Punjab will remain closed till September 7, 2025.
