Beauty Billionaire: It is said that leading a business to success is a man’s job but this saying is debunked by some women who have taken their businesses to new heights. Yet the number of women leaders remains very limited in the business world. Recently a businesswoman and 72-year-old French beauty heiress made headlines worldwide when she became the sixth-biggest wealth gainer in the world surpassing tech titans and industry leaders. She added about USD 24 billion to her fortune in 2025 alone. Her name is Françoise Bettencourt Meyers granddaughter of L’Oréal founder Eugène Schueller. Let’s learn more about her. Francoise Bettencourt Meyers’s Net Worth The 72-year-old French beauty heiress’s wealth has increased tremendously and rapidly. In the last eight months her net worth has increased a whopping 32 percent approx USD98 billion as per Bloomberg Billionaires Index data as of Monday. The massive rise of wealth is because L’Oréal’s share price witnessed a jump of 17 percent this year. The share is trading close to USD400. Notably She holds a 35 percent ownership in the company that manages brands including Maybelline Lancome and Redken. Surpassed Billionaires Of The World Meyers has become the sixth-biggest wealth gainer in 2025 surpassing tech giants such as Alphabet cofounder Larry Page. She added more to her wealth than billionaires across the world such as - SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son Sergey Brin and Pop Mart CEO Wang Ning. Currently the businesswoman is on the 18th position on Bloomberg’s global rich list. However she remains behind Alice Walton the Walmart heiress valued at USD118 billion. Walton surpassed Meyers in 2024 to become the wealthiest woman in the world. Following the death of her mother Bettencourt Meyers inherited her L’Oreal stake in 2017. In 2023 she achieved a milestone of becoming the first woman ever to touch the USD100 billion wealth club. But a major drop in her company’s stock in 2024 pulled her wealth below USD75 billion. In early 2025 Meyers announced her retirement after 28 years of service. Her son Jean-Victor Meyers has taken over the position of vice chairman.
