Amazon customers have been rushing to buy an "extremely comfortable" pillow set that's being hailed as an allergy-free substitute for down. The Slumberdown Feels Like Down Pillows have had their cost slashed to £19.99 for a four-pack in a time-limited offer, making each pillow just £5.
The top-selling brand claims these pillows let users "experience the plush feel of real down but without the allergies". According to Slumberdown, the pillows are stuffed with soft-touch hollowfibre that replicates premium down, and are designed to accommodate side, back, and stomach sleepers.

Also on offer as a duo for £12.99, the Slumberdown Feels Like Down Pillows are undercutting high street retailers like Debenhams and Matalan. The pillows are also machine washable and tumble dryer-safe, with customers expressing varying views on how closely they resemble genuine down.
For those who favour authentic down, bargains can be found at other bedding retailers during end-of-season clearances. Dusk is selling a Pair of Duck Feather and Down Pillows for £25, with customers able to secure a mystery reduction using the code REVEAL at checkout, whilst Soak and Sleep is offering its Goose Feather and Down Pillows for £38.50 marked down from £55 for a pair.
Returning to Amazon, boasting over 1,400 reviews from Amazon buyers, the Slumberdown Feels Like Down Pillows have achieved an average score of 4.2 out of five stars.
One customer shared their experience: "I bought these as I wanted a firmer pillow and I do suffer from neck pain which was starting to keep me up at night and was an unpleasant start to the day. These feel really soft to touch but give me noticeable support."
They continued: "I am a side sleeper and I was used to stuffing the pillow in the small of my neck - not needed with this pillow. Its firm core keeps everything where it should! They also feel more luxurious than their budget price point."
Meanwhile, another buyer raved about the pillows: "They are extremely comfortable and bounce back to their original fullness after a night's sleep. I'm planning to replace all of the pillows in my house with them and would recommend."
A third purchaser who grabbed them called them the "best pillows you'll get", saying: "Put two in the spare room and had people staying that asked where I got them, they were that comfy. Worth the money and a great sleep, not too firm, more Goldilocks - just right."
Other customers described the Feels Like Down Pillows as "full and fluffy every night", noting that they "bounce back when you lift your head". Yet, as is typically the case with pillows, they weren't perfect for everyone, with some buyers moaning that they found them uncomfortable, reports Chronicle Live.
One individual remarked: "Quite bulky and very firm, enough to give you neck ache, good quality but wouldn't recommend."
However, not everyone was in agreement about their fullness and bounce back ability, with one reviewer noting: "A few weeks in and it lost all fluffiness."
Meanwhile, another customer echoed: "These pillows look great and plump for the first week or so then they lose that comfy feeling."
