Navratri Colors 2025: The Navratri festival holds immense significance in Hinduism, celebrated four times a year. Among these, the two primary Navratris are Chaitra Navratri and Sharadiya Navratri, while the Gupt Navratris occur in the months of Ashadh and Magh. This year, Sharadiya Navratri will commence on Monday, September 22, and conclude on October 2, coinciding with Vijayadashami. During these nine days, various forms of Maa Durga are revered, and devotees wear specific colors representing the nine goddesses.
According to the Panchang, Pitru Paksha will take place from September 7 to September 21 this year. Traditionally, it is not customary to purchase new items, especially clothing, during this period. Therefore, if you wish to shop for Navratri, it is advisable to do so before Pitru Paksha begins. Acquiring items at the right time is believed to bring positivity and auspiciousness into your home. Here’s a guide on the colors to wear during the nine days of Navratri:
First Day: On the inaugural day of Sharadiya Navratri, devotees worship Goddess Shailputri, and wearing orange is deemed auspicious, symbolizing energy and enthusiasm.
Second Day: The second day is dedicated to Goddess Brahmacharini, with white being the auspicious color, representing purity and peace.
Third Day: On this day, Goddess Chandraghanta is honored, and red is the color of choice, symbolizing strength and courage.
Fourth Day: Goddess Kushmanda is worshiped on the fourth day, and royal blue is considered auspicious, reflecting confidence and stability.
Fifth Day: The fifth day is for Goddess Skandamata, with yellow being the auspicious color, symbolizing happiness and positive energy.
