Incident Overview
A section of a crumbling structure in the Subhash Chowk region of Jaipur has collapsed, leading to fears that several individuals may be trapped beneath the rubble. Rescue efforts have commenced, involving Civil Defence and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF).
According to ADCP North, Durg Singh Rajpurohit, approximately 19 individuals were living in the building at the time of the collapse. Out of these, seven sustained injuries, and tragically, two have lost their lives. Rajpurohit noted, "It had been raining heavily for the last few days, and this building was quite old. The police received the alert around 1:15 to 1:30 AM last night and responded promptly, with Civil Defence also being called to the scene."
