India Post covers 19,101 PIN code and large networks of 154,725 post offices across the country. It used to send books along with letters and papers. But from December 17, India Post has stopped the registered book post service.

India Post has suddenly stopped this service. No prior warning or notice was given for this. Registered Book Post i.e. RBP has been removed from the software without any notice. Now people will not get any option of RBP. With the closure of this service, ordering books will become more expensive. Book lovers will now have to spend more money to order books.

The registered book post of the Indian Postal Department is cheaper than the RBP service parcel. Where the price of 1 kg RBP is Rs 32. While the price of registered parcel is Rs 78. Similarly, it costs Rs 45 for two kilograms of RBP and Rs 116 for parcels. 80 rupees for 5 kg RBP and Rs 229 for parcel.
