It will rain in these states for the next 4 days, IMD has issued an alert for heavy rain

The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert regarding heavy rains in many parts of the country in the coming days.

Western and Northern India

  • There is a possibility of heavy rains in some areas of Saurashtra and Kutch on September 9.

  • Heavy rains may occur at different places in western Rajasthan on September 9.

  • There is a warning of light to moderate rain in Uttarakhand on September 12 and 13 with heavy rains in many areas.

  • There is a possibility of rain in western UP on 12th and 13th September, while in eastern UP it is expected to rain on 11th and 12th September.

Central India

  • Heavy rains are forecast in Western Madhya Pradesh on September 14, whereas Eastern Madhya Pradesh may receive good rains on September 10, 11 and 13.

  • The period of rain with thunder and lightning will continue in Chhattisgarh from 9th to 14th September.

  • There will be continuous rain in Bihar from 9th to 13th September, whereas heavy rain is expected in Odisha from 10th to 13th September.

Northeast India

  • Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura may record light to moderate rainfall from September 9 and then from September 11 to 14.

  • There will be continuous rain in Arunachal Pradesh from 9th to 14th September.

  • Assam and Meghalaya will experience heavy rainfall from September 9 to 14, with an alert for very heavy rainfall between September 12 and 14.

South India

  • There is a possibility of rain in Tamil Nadu and Kerala on 9th and 10th September.

  • Coastal Andhra Pradesh may receive good rains from September 9 to 12 and Telangana from September 10 to 14.

  • There will be rain in the interior parts of Karnataka on September 10.

The Meteorological Department has warned that normal life may be affected in many states due to strong winds (30-40 km/h) and heavy rains for the next 4-5 days.
