Toyota Car Price Cut: The government has given relief in tax not only on small cars, but also on big trains. This has directly affected the prices of cars and now many vehicles of Toyota like Fortuner, Innova are already getting cheap millions of rupees. Toyota has announced its new prices after the implementation of GST 2.0.
Although GST was increased on big cars, the removal of cess has brought relief for both the buyer and the manufacturer. This is the reason that now companies are implementing new prices of their respective models. Toyota has said that the prices of all their cars will be reduced after the new GST rates and these prices will be applicable from 22 September 2025.
Vice President of Toyota India Varinder Wadhwa said that “We thank the Government of India for this historical reform. This has not only made cars more economical for customers, but has also strengthened the confidence of the entire auto sector. Before the festivals, we hope that this step will further promote demand.”

Fortuner benefited the most, which has cut the price of up to Rs 3.49 lakh. Its premium variant legender has also decreased by up to Rs 3.34 lakh. Now the new prices of Fortuner will start from Rs 36.05 lakh ex-showroom and legender Rs 44.51 lakh from ex-showroom.
Changes in tax under new GST (Toyota Car Price Cut)
- Small cars will now have 18% GST, earlier 28%. This means prices will be cheaper from 5% to 13%.
- Now 40% tax will be levied on big cars, earlier 28% GST and cess had to be paid more tax.
- Luxury brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Audi, BMW and Jaguar Land Rover were earlier taxed 50%, now the flat 40% tax will be levied. With this, the prices of these cars will also be reduced significantly.
After this change, buying a car for customers has become easy and economical. This step can further increase the demand during the festive season.
