Telegram Ban: Today, Telegram is considered one of the most popular messaging apps in the world. This app not only provides chatting and calling facilities but also gives freedom to share large files, run channels and create groups. However, while on one hand the popularity of Telegram is increasing rapidly, on the other hand some countries have completely banned this app. These countries believe that Telegram can become a threat to security and law and order. Let us know about those 5 countries where using Telegram is considered a crime.

Russia

Although Telegram is an app made in Russia, it was banned here some time ago. The real reason was that the government was not getting access to the chat and data of the app. The government wanted to keep the information of the users with it so that cases related to terrorism or crime could be investigated. But Telegram refused to give this information. For this reason, Russia banned it for some time. However, later this ban was lifted, but at one time its use here was considered a crime.

China

China is known for its strict control over the Internet and social media. Here the government bans every app that does not work according to its policies. Telegram was banned in China because the government there suspected that this platform was becoming a means of spreading anti-government views and propaganda against the policies of the government. For this reason, it is impossible to use Telegram in China even today.

Iran

Iran has also banned Telegram. Here the government says that Telegram was being used to organize protests on a large scale and promote anti-government activities. Apart from this, spreading content against religious and cultural norms in Iran is also considered a reason for the ban. That is why the use of Telegram is considered against the law here.

Pakistan

Telegram was also banned in Pakistan. The government cited cyber security and fake news as the reason for this. It was said there that Telegram was being used to spread misinformation and disturb law and order. Although many times people tried to use it through VPN, but officially this app is officially banned in Pakistan.

India (partial ban)

Telegram is not completely banned in India, but questions have been raised about it many times. In some states and places, Telegram has been temporarily banned during violence or crime. The government believes that this platform is used to spread drugs, piracy, and fake news. Although it is still available across the country, strict rules may be imposed on its use in the future.
