A Call for Unified Action

Hong Kong: During the AVPN Global Conference 2025 held in Hong Kong, Dr. Priti Adani, the Chairperson of the Adani Foundation, made a compelling appeal to philanthropists, businesses, and change agents, urging them to move beyond mere donations and to engage in collaborative efforts.

In her keynote address, Dr. Adani highlighted that the future of social progress hinges on collaboration, advocating for a unified platform that brings together philanthropic organizations, NGOs, and partners to align their efforts, share insights, and amplify their impact. She emphasized that the real power of philanthropy lies not in isolated donations but in collective action. “We need to be co-builders rather than just donors. Genuine change occurs when we collaborate, pooling our resources and dismantling barriers,” she stated.

Dr. Adani called for a global collaboration platform that transcends numerical metrics, focusing instead on the human narratives of dignity, resilience, and transformation. She remarked, “Impact is not defined by numbers; it is about the stories that lie behind them — tales of hope, transformation, and empowerment.”

“Dr. Priti Adani’s keynote was a powerful call to bold action,” remarked Ms. Naina Subberwal Batra, CEO of AVPN. “She reminded us of the necessity to act, even in uncertain times, and to invest in solutions that lay the groundwork for a sustainable and equitable future in Asia. At AVPN, we resonate with this call for action. Philanthropy must remain steadfast and unite diverse stakeholders to transform conviction into tangible actions, creating systems resilient to time and uncertainty,” she added.

Dr. Adani outlined three essential principles for this collaborative movement:

Co-Building: Every participant should approach as a builder of enduring change, not merely as a donor.
Multipliers, Not Beneficiaries: The true measure of impact lies not in what we provide, but in how we empower our beneficiaries to become agents of change.
Uniting Skills with Values: Skills devoid of values are like structures without foundations. When combined, they create a legacy for future generations.

Dr. Adani concluded, “This is not a time for applause; it is a moment for commitment! We must be the generation that plants seeds in adversity, that believes before the rains arrive, and that cultivates a harvest of dignity and opportunity for everyone.”

In closing, Dr. Adani encouraged attendees to move beyond symbolic gestures, actively collaborating, learning from one another, sharing best practices, and inspiring each other to reach greater heights.
