Dominant Performance by Indian Bowlers

Dubai: In a stunning display of bowling prowess, Kuldeep Yadav showcased his skills as India bowled out the UAE for a mere 57 runs in just 13.1 overs during their Asia Cup opener on Wednesday.

After a frustrating stint in the UK where he sat out five consecutive Tests, Kuldeep was in top form, claiming 4 wickets for just 7 runs in 2.1 overs, leaving the UAE batsmen bewildered.

Jasprit Bumrah initiated the collapse with a perfectly executed yorker that dismissed Alishan Sharafu, who had managed to score 22 runs off 17 balls, including three boundaries and a six.

Following Bumrah's breakthrough, the UAE's promising start quickly deteriorated as batsmen returned to the pavilion in quick succession.

The spin trio of Kuldeep, Varun Chakravarthy (1/4 in 2 overs), and Axar Patel (1/13 in 3 overs) proved too challenging for the UAE players, who rarely face such bowlers.

Shivam Dube also made a significant contribution with his best career figures of 3 for 4 in 2 overs, effectively cleaning up the tail.

Rahul Chopra attempted to counter Kuldeep's spin but ended up getting caught at long-on, while Harshit Kaushik struggled against a googly that turned in sharply.

Captain Muhammad Waseem managed only 19 runs off 22 balls before falling to Kuldeep's extra bounce while attempting a sweep.

Overall, the Indian bowlers delivered a remarkable performance, with 81 balls bowled, including 13.1 overs and two wides, while the UAE batsmen failed to score off 52 deliveries.

The strategic bowling plans devised by Gautam Gambhir and captain Suryakumar Yadav were executed flawlessly, and the Dubai pitch is expected to favor spinners in upcoming matches.
