Significant progress has been made in the investigation into the death of model and actress Humaira Asghar whose body was discovered in a flat in Karachi’s Defence area. The final medico-legal report has now been prepared.
The report has raised serious doubts and suspicions regarding the actress’s death. It revealed that bloodstains were found on her clothes. According to forensic details, traces of blood were detected on her T-shirt and trousers and DNA was also recovered from the clothing.
The report further noted that the body was incomplete, only bones were found with several organs missing making it impossible to determine the exact cause of death.
Sources disclosed that there is no available databank for blood or DNA comparisons which has complicated the investigation. Moreover, one of Humaira Asghar’s mobile phones remains missing which investigators believe could have provided crucial evidence through its data.
It is important to note that on July 8, Humaira Asghar’s Body was discovered in her Defence Phase-6 flat in Karachi. She had been living alone in the rented flat for the past seven years after moving from Lahore to Karachi in 2018.
According to SSP South Mahzoor Ali, she had not been paying rent since 2024. The flat’s landlord had filed a case in the Clifton Cantonment Board. When the bailiff arrived, the door was locked. Upon breaking it open, Humaira’s body was found lying on the floor.
