Actress Yami Gautam recently attended an event where she made some bold remarks on cosmetic surgeries.

Upon being asked about beauty enhancement surgeries, Yami said, “Sirf aaloo aur pyaaz ko under the knife aana chahiye (Only vegetables should come under the knife).”

A majority of users didn’t forget to remind Yami that she also endorsed a fairness cream and called out her ‘pick me attitude’.

One user commented, “Rich coming from Fair n lovely Fair n lovely. Was not she chanting it for 15+ years.”

One user replied to this, “Exactly! I wonder how people easily forget that this woman promoted insecurities in millions by endorsing Fair & Lovely for over a decade, especially in a country like ours, where even dusky women face so much discrimination.”

Another user commented, “What else can one expect from the actress who endorsed Fair & Lovely for years. Everyone ain't born with features that are conventionally considered beautiful. Earning money by feeding the insecurity of millions makes you not just a part, but the ENTIRE PROBLEM. No matter what your personal preference is, this is such a dumb statement to make.”
