As reported earlier, Karisma Kapoor’s children have filed a legal case against their stepmother, Priya Sachdev, over the late Sunjay Kapur’s Rs 30,000 crore estate. Now, Sunjay’s sister Mandhira Kapur has stepped in to support Karisma and her kids, leveling serious allegations of manipulation against Priya.

Sunjay Kapur’s sister Mandhira Kapur supported Karisma and told ANI, “I stand by them because I do not think that if anyone knows the relationship they have had with their father and for their father not to have them a part of the will, it just doesn't add up. Doesn't make sense. So I stand by them.”

Mandhira Kapur Smith indirectly hit out at Priya Sachdev, alleging that a single person had taken ‘everything’. She further claimed that her mother, Rani Kapur, was left without a roof over her head, while emphasising that all of Sunjay’s wealth was originally built by his father and later expanded by him.

She added, “We're not asking for what is not our right. My dad created all this. My dad created it for my mother. My brother grew it, like all Indian families do. And then it was supposed to be distributed equally among the families. So again, one person has come in and taken everything, and my mother doesn't even have a roof over her head.”

Mandhira’s remarks came shortly after the Delhi High Court directed Priya Sachdev to submit a detailed disclosure of all movable and immovable assets belonging to her late husband, Sunjay Kapur. The case is scheduled for its next hearing on October 9. Sunjay’s sister welcomed the court’s directive, stating it would finally bring some much-needed clarity to the contentious matter.

Karisma Kapoor, who divorced Sunjay Kapur in 2016, has custody of their children, Samaira and Kiaan. After Sunjay’s death in June, his children approached the Delhi High Court, accusing stepmother Priya Sachdev of suppressing a disputed will to seize control of his assets. The suit also names Rani Kapur and Shradha Suri Marwah.
